Eugene - Kidless - mostly

11 days of rapid fire touring and travelling with the grandkids has drawn to a close.  Eli & Luke left for Dulles then on to Williamsburg yesterday, leaving behind only the big kids and a baby.  The day started at 4:00 am with a drive from Oregon's Ainsworth State Park to Portland Int'l Airport, and ended around midnight with some home cooked dining, singing and guitar at Diane & Josh's.  Today's agenda is to perform needed R&R for the old guy!

Here's some of what we've been up to since the last post, starting with the most recent:
Josh, Diane & Me playin' some tunes - wine etc involved

Submarine tour at the OMSI in Portland - supreme button pusher Luke at the controls

Downtown tour of Portland

Luke & Apollo
Skateboarding in Eugene

Tour the U of Oregon - Ducks!!

Sushi Restaurant conveyor belt in Eugene

Goodman Creek trail near Eugene

ATV riding at Dune City on the coast - biggest sandbox around!

Amazon community pool in Eugene

The 'Gum Wall' in Pike Place Market - Seattle

Star Trek exhibit at the EMP (Experience Music Project) Pop Culture Museum in Seattle

Ferry into Seattle

Once again, I'd better get this out before I accidentally blow it up. Thanks for being interested everyone. It's been an eventful trip so far.  The boys and I counted 35 different events/activities we did together in the 10 days they were here!

More later. Thanks again!

  3. Enjoyed the pics Don.
Did you get any more pics around Portland? I would like to see how it has changed since I lived there in the 70's.
